Since I'm off to see the Star Wars exhibition tomorrow, here's a flashback:
<---Pretty cool site if you have little ones/are in the process of having little ones. Check it out.
It's a pretty well known fact that Westminster is a culinary wasteland. I stopped by a new take away sushi place tonight on my way home expecting to be underwhelmed by Wasabi-style individually wrapped sushi pieces.
I was wrong. The sushi at Nori is very, very good. If you live or work in Westminster, I highly recommend you stop by Nori and grab some reasonably priced sushi. It's located on The Broadway, between St James tube stop and Victoria Street.
Now this is pretty cool. Sixty of the hottest and most respected names in popular music, like Travis, Amy Winehouse, Stereophonics and more, will play gigs at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts. The only way to get tickets is to win a contest [iTunes Link], but those who don't win needn't worry, as all sixty shows will be made available in the iTunes Store.
This is pretty cool, as you can catch the show for free (if you lucky enough), and then download the very performance you attended from iTunes as a professional recording (as opposed to those *other* live recordings you have). [via Tuaw ]
Time Out is running a deal on tastelondon:
Food (very baby friendly outdoor eating) and Shopping are excellent. The market is still being refurbished but should open back up 100% later this year (I think). Definitely worth visiting. The Pastisserie Valerie there is worth the visit alone.
If you haven't made any plans to visit London, this looks like a pretty good reason to make plans now...
I stopped by to see an old friend, Mrs Marazzi, who has been running St Margarets for 50 years, and now the lease holder has refused to renew their contract- favoring a large hotel chain. I'm deeply saddened for them and what that means to 100s of students who lived there over the years. I have very fond memories of my time there-
I lived at St Margarets back in 1994 during an exchange program to London. Every time I've visited London since then, I have stayed in St Margarets. It's like coming back to a second home- and hasn't changed in 12 years.
If you've studied abroad through Mississippi College or Louisiana College, you might want to visit one more time before they close the first week of March...
